Doctor terms

Terms & conditions for doctors

Last updated June 2026.

Eligibility

Only medical practitioners holding valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council may enrol. Registration details, qualifications and identity are verified before activation; Nirogyam may suspend accounts on lapse or misconduct.

Free enrolment & commission

Enrolment on Nirogyam Teleclinic is free. Nirogyam charges a flat 20% commission on the consultation fee of every paid consultation. The remaining 80% is your earning, settled as per the payout schedule communicated by Nirogyam. Fee changes require approval.

Practice standards

You must follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020, the NMC Code of Ethics, maintain confidentiality, verify patient identity, obtain consent, and refer patients for in-person care when teleconsultation is inappropriate.

Prescriptions & signature

Prescriptions must be issued only after a consultation and are authorised through your authenticated session with the signature and designation uploaded to your profile. You are responsible for their clinical accuracy; amendments are versioned and audited. Restricted drugs must not be prescribed via teleconsultation.

Follow-ups

Each paid consultation with a prescription includes one free follow-up within 14 days. No fee or commission applies to follow-ups.

Availability & cancellations

Keep your availability current. Doctor-initiated cancellations are fully refunded to the patient and repeated cancellations may lead to suspension.

Liability

You are solely responsible for clinical decisions. Nirogyam provides the technology platform and is not a provider of medical advice.
